Our story
Founded in San Antonio in 2003, Phoenix Biotechnology began by investigating bioactive compounds and extracts derived from Nerium oleander. Over more than two decades, that work progressed into defined botanical drug candidates, generating a body of scientific evidence across antiviral, oncology, and neuroprotection applications, together with human clinical experience in oncology. The research led Phoenix to focus on recurring connections among cellular stress-response pathways across disease contexts, shaping the Phoenix Platform™. Today, Phoenix is building on that foundation to advance its programs and pursue opportunities for scientific and strategic collaboration.

Phoenix Animal Wellness (PAW) is a separate animal-health company that commercializes applications informed by the Phoenix Platform™. Phoenix Biotechnology develops the scientific platform and is a significant shareholder in PAW. The organizations remain distinct while sharing a scientific foundation.
